(US Coast Guard – Vietnam)

SP4 Ray C. Banks
(US Army – Vietnam)
DOL: Feburary 2, 1968

The remains of United States Coast Lt. Jack Columbus Rittichier,
the Huey he traveled in and its crew,
were found and have been repatriated.

On October 6, 2003, Lt. Rittichier
was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetary.

Jack was the first U.S. Coast Guardsman killed in action,
in Vietnam, and the only one who remained unaccounted for
after the war's end.
